Julia wants to be a queen,
and to be a queen she needs a crown. But a real crown: a crown of
gold and precious stones. Julia was three years old the day she
saw the royal carriage appear. Up there, on a pile of coloured cushions,
sat the king. And, even further up, on the king’s head, was
the crown. A crown of gold and precious stones. Julia shouted:
- When I grow up I want to be queen!
Her parents smiled and said nothing. Child’s talk, they thought.
