Faiquè is a special postman
in a very special and fun world. He wears one shoe, two pairs of
glasses, three pocket watches and carries four leather sacks in
which he has five wads of postcards, six bundles of letters, seven
telegrams and eight urgent packages. A very special album in which
the names and the unreality are very ordinary.
About the authors
Ruth Vilar (Zaragoza, 1978) is an actress and writer: her job is
composing stories, on paper or on the stage. With the company Cos
de Lletra she takes these untruthful truths everywhere.
Arnal Ballester, (Barcelona, 1955), is an illustrator and teacher
of Illustration at the Massana School in Barcelona and the School
of Applied Arts and Crafts. With a degree in History from the UAB,
he began his career as a graphic humourist, but he is particularly
known as an illustrator of children's books and albums. He has published
over 50 illustrated titles, books aimed at showing children contemporary
art, among others. For the former he won the Children's Book Fair-UNICEF
Illustrators of the Year Award (1994), the Serra d'Or Critics' Prize
(1995) and the Ministry of Culture's National Prize for the best
illustrations in children's and young people's books (1993).
