The Secret of Lucía Morke
Inés MacPherson

First edition: November 2011

Synopsis
Lucía Morke is the daughter of a Norwegian couple and she spends the afternoons reading Gothic tales to her blind neighbour. However, the letter from a friend who disappeared two years ago is going to change her life forever. In it he tells her to meet him on an empty road in Los Monegros, the scene of many urban legends. One weekend when she is alone, after dyeing her hair black, she sets out on a risky hitchhiking trip into the unknown. However, at the meeting place the only thing she finds is the deserted Hotel Limbo, and, hanging on the door, the compass that she gave him on the day they almost kissed.
